What does PCA stand for?

PCA stands for pressure compensating aerator. It is used for all NEOPERL aerators with a
pressure compensating flow regulator. By means of this flow regulator, the aerator produces
a constant flow rate regardless of pressure fluctuations, e. g. 2.2 gpm at 60 psi, which corres-
ponds to the requirements of the US Standard A112.18.1M.

The other option to control the flow and meet US flow requirements is by means of a fixed orifice
designed to allow predetermined flow at the test pressure of 60 psi. These products are referred to
as "restricted" or "X" in the NEOPERL literature. In contrast to the PCA products, restricted devices
provide poor flow performance at low pressure and excess flow at high pressure.
